Apple vs Google vs Tesla, who has the best ecosystem?
If you think you know Ecosystems think again
Many think and believe Apple is a leader in ecosystems.
They have the MacBook, iPad, iPod, iWatch, iPhone, TV and iTunes that tries to bring it all together.
Apple want to own every electronic device that you may come into contract with
Google on the other hand have a few more weapons in their chest
Weapons —

Google basically has a device play, Software play, Application Play, Storage Play, Auto Play, Fitness Play just to name a few.
Whilst Apple has the devices, Google has the devices and Software that RUNS and RUNS ON the devices.
With the “Google Home” play they have a device that can better connect all these products into the real world
Now onto the real world
The world of traffic, increasing fuel prices and work
According to the Census, there were a little over 139 million workers commuting in 2014. At an average of 26 minutes each way to work, five days a week, 50 weeks a year, that works out to something like a total of 1.8 trillion minutes Americans spent commuting in 2014. Or, if you prefer, call it 29.6 billion hours, 1.2 billion days, or a collective 3.4 million years. With that amount of time, we could have built nearly 300 Wikipedias, or built the Great Pyramid of Giza 26 times — all in 2014 alone.
Enter Elon Musk and Tesla, the revolutionary form of electric self driving technology
But that is not were it stops.
Elon has started SpaceX, Tesla, Hyperloop, SolarCity, The boring company and OpenAI
So how do all these fit together?
If you really think about this, Elon is creating his own ecosystem.
You can buy Tesla but electric charging is still at its infancy and it requires a great amount of work to convert the entire world from Gasoline to Electric power
In 2016, Telsa added 57 new stores worldwide and over 200 supercharger stations; by year-end the company had doubled the number of charging point locations to 4,140.
But 4140 charging stations is simply not enough hence the acquisition of Solar City.
Now you can charge your Tesla at home by installing Solar roof tiles and a power wall and be completely off the grid.
So one day you forget to charge your car and dont have enough charge to reach work, well you can either just drive to the nearest Hyperloop and shuttle your way across the country or catch a ride on the Tunnels created by the Boring company
Or you can just Uber a Tesla
If you want to “Driverless car” your way around town but still want some level of control you you can just use OpenAI and neurally connect to the car and steer it without touch the wheel or pedals.
During the weekend when you want to get away you can just drive your Tesla to a SpaceX station and go to Space for the weekend while the Carrier goes off and delivers some Facebook satellites to orbit.
That’s what they call a travel ecosystem
Whilst Apple is trying to own the device on your hands, Google is trying to own every device and application you will ever need at home and work and Tesla is trying to own the way you travel
Now Google’s driverless cars division has teamed up with US ride-hailing business Lyft to develop autonomous technology for vehicles
Could Google be entering the Travel ecosystem too? If you look at the patents related to vehicle technology it would appear so.

My dream as a little boy was always to get involved in F1 racing or the car industry but always found the car industry it to be a bit static in terms of technology and buying an F1 team a tad bit expensive but it looks like Tesla, Google and Apple(in no specific order) are really shaking things up and who knows maybe I might just be curious enough to pivot into that space
